About

Jackie Argyle was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She took her first painting class in 2017 as an adult working in the IT field. She fell in love with painting almost immediately and has been learning, experimenting, and making work ever since.

In 2024, she graduated from the Modern Color Atelier program at Gage Academy of Art, where she studied under Kimberly Trowbridge. In April 2025, a series of her works was included in her first group show at Boxx Gallery. In 2026, her painting Electricity Meter was longlisted for the Hampstead Art Society Annual Open Call.

Since May of 2025, Jackie has been teaching visual art classes at Path with Art, a Seattle-based nonprofit. Teaching has become an important part of her creative practice and life, and she is continually looking for more opportunities to connect with the community through art.

Her work focuses on observation. It begins with looking closely, and then through observation and attention to color, she lets a conversation with the painting unfold, allowing a new reality to emerge from what she sees.
